Our client, a well-known group of companies who offer services across five inter-connected industries: Maritime, Business, Travel, Property and Environment, is looking to hire a Vessel Account Controller at their offices in Limassol.
We are looking to recruit a Vessel Account Controller who will be responsible for managing accounts and payments to ensure smooth operations.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages Vessel Control Accounts and Principal’s/Client’s Accounts.
- Collects, reviews and verifies invoices from Suppliers, Subcontractors and Authorities.
- Processes the entries in the accounting system for income and expenses per Vessel port call, such as marine and port charges, vessel supplies, crew changes, crew accommodation.
- Prepares and issues the Vessel Invoices / Disbursement Accounts to Principals/Clients.
- Follows up on collecting the funds from the Principals/Clients and on any clarifications where required by the Principals/Clients.
- Maintains an updated electronic filing system according to the Company’s policy.
- Undertakes other tasks that may be assigned by the Supervisor / Management.
Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting (or Shipping).
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in an Accounting or other role with similar duties is required.
- Knowledge of the Shipping Industry will be considered as an advantage.
- Familiarity with Esoft accounting system will be considered as an advantage.
- Fluency in both Greek and English.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Detail oriented.
- Collaborative and positive personality.
