Our client is a Large Construction Company in Limassol, Cyprus and looking for a Russian-speaking Accountant.
Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping on a daily basis.
- Preparation and submission of VAT reports.
- Bank payment and transfers.
- Preparation of management accounts.
- Liaison with external auditors during the audit of financial statements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certifications: Student of ACCA, CPA or similar qualification.
- Language: Fluent English and Russian, knowledge of Greek will be an advantage.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in accounting or auditing.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Word and Outlook.
- Understanding of Cyprus tax principals, knowledge of tax rates and ability to apply them.
- Understanding of VAT Regulations. This includes knowledge of applicable rates and exemptions. Familiarity with the legal requirements for VAT invoices and proper record-keeping. Knowledge of how VAT applies to imports, exports, and intra-community transactions.
- Knowledge and experience with accounting software and ERP systems will be an advantage.
- Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to identify issues in financial processes and recommend improvements. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- Strong ethical standards and integrity.
Working hours:
- The working hours at 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday (100% office job)
