Our client, one of the leading Construction and Development companies in Cyprus, responsible for many of the island's landmark developments, is looking to hire a Junior/Midlevel Site Engineer.
General Scope:
- The administration of the labour, materials, plant, technical personnel and other resources in such a way that secures conformity with the contract conditions.
- The minimization of the costs and the securing of the financial rights of the company.
- The compliance with the laws and the procedures of the company, including adhering to all Health & Safety matters.
- The preservation of good relations with the parties involved.
Responsibilities / Authorities:
On award of the contract
In cooperation with the Project Manager.
- To study the contract documents and all other documents related to the contract.
- To make the necessary arrangements for the site establishment.
- To minimize the overall needs of staff, labour and plant.
- Prepare the materials schedules.
During execution of the Contract
- To programme the works in accordance with the contract requirements.
- To comply with the specified quoted standards on materials and workmanship.
- To minimize the costs through proper management and innovation.
- To execute the works in accordance with the provisions of the contract with regards to:
- Notices to be sent
- Testing
- Measurements
- Collection/keeping records
- Legislation
- Health and Safety Regulations
- Tidiness
- Designs to be undertaken.
- To ensure and be responsible for the execution of the site Health, Safety and
- Environmental plan.
On completion of the contact
- To manage and recon ciliate the materials.
- To demobilize and remove offices, plant and materials.
On expiration of the maintenance period
- To rectify defects / Remedial Works.
General
- To follow the company’s procedures.
- To establish the training requirements and notify the Project Manager and/or Deputy Project Manager.
- To implement the commitment of the Company to care for the environment and the society.
- The professional and responsible behaviour of all company employees in the course of execution of their work.
Directly subordinate job positions:
- As specified in the site organizational chart.
Required Qualifications / Experience:
- Degree in Civil Engineering – Member of ETEK.
- Experience with a contracting firm of more than three years.
