Our client is a fast-growing fintech and payment solutions company providing innovative financial services and digital payment solutions to clients globally. As the company continues to expand its operations in Cyprus they are looking to recruit a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Compliance & Customer Support Officer to join the team.
Role Overview
The Junior Compliance & Customer Support Officer will support the Compliance and Operations departments in daily onboarding, KYC verification, transaction monitoring, and customer support activities. The ideal candidate should have previous experience working with Sumsub and a good understanding of AML/KYC procedures within the fintech, payments, or financial services industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compliance Duties
- Review and verify customer KYC/KYB documentation
- Perform onboarding checks using Sumsub
- Monitor transactions and escalate suspicious activities when required
- Assist with AML and compliance monitoring procedures
- Maintain accurate compliance records and reports
- Support ongoing due diligence and periodic reviews
- Assist the compliance team with internal controls and regulatory requirements
- Customer Support Duties
- Respond to customer inquiries via email, chat, and phone
- Assist clients with onboarding and account verification processes
- Resolve customer issues in a professional and timely manner
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure efficient client support
- Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous experience using Sumsub is mandatory
- 1+ year of experience in compliance, onboarding, or customer support within fintech, payments, forex, crypto, or financial services
- Basic understanding of AML, KYC, and compliance procedures
- Strong communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus)
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online systems/tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in fintech, payment institutions, or forex industry
- Knowledge of EU compliance standards and Cyprus regulatory environment
- Familiarity with transaction monitoring tools
