Our client is a leader within the Classified Ads Sector and in operation in 29 countries worldwide and employing over 140 professional staff members are currently looking to looking recruit a Junior Accountant & Facility Coordinator who will join a dynamic Finance Team at the Nicosia based offices
Key Responsibilities:
- General Ledger & Reconciliation
- Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations.
- Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process accounts payable invoices and coordinate with vendors regarding payment status.
- Assist with accounts receivable functions, including billing and tracking collections.
- Review and process employee expense reports in alignment with company policy.
- Compliance & Reporting
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L).
- Support the Accounting & Reporting Manager in preparing for internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP (or IFRS) and local tax regulations.
- Facility Management
- Conduct daily "floor walks" to identify and resolve maintenance issues and office needs
- Coordinate routine inspections and preventative maintenance for all building systems.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience
Technical Skills:
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (Debits/Credits, Accruals).
- Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables are a must).
- Familiarity with accounting software (Business Central would be a plus).
Soft Skills:
- Extreme attention to detail: You catch the typos others miss.
- Time Management: Ability to meet strict monthly deadlines.
- Integrity: Handling sensitive financial data with total confidentiality.
- Team: Being a team-player is fundamental
