Our client is a well-established Ship Management Company in Limassol and they are looking for a hands-on Financial Controller. 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
  • Cash controlling
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly statements
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Month-end and year-end close process

  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Holder of a professional title (i.e. ACCA or ACA) is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in shipping industry will be considered as a big advantage.
  • At least 5 years experience as a Financial Controller 
  • Payroll and /or bookkeeping experience 
  • Computer knowledge of the relevant IT systems and Microsoft Office 
  • Fluency in English. German would be a definite advantage
  • Team Player and integrity.

  • Able to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Reliable and trustworthy

Working hours:

  • Monday – Friday from 9am – 5.30pm daily with half an hour lunch break. Overtime and travelling will be required from time to time. Onsite role.
