Our client an Airport Ground Services Company are currently looking to recruit a Dispatcher for the Paphos airport who will be reporting directly to the Landside Manager 

Employment Terms : 

  • Full time (all year)   
  • Shift based with monthly roster
  • 5 days per week with 2 OFF (Monday to Sunday)
  • 1 weekend off every 5 weeks
  • Working hours: 40 hrs per week for summer and 36 hrs per week for winter. 

Salary & Benefits: 

  • Monthly gross salary 1,312 Euros gross monthly for the first two months and increased to 1,580 Euros thereafter 
  • Provision of 13th Salary
  • Paid Overtime (1:1.5 if exceeding normal shift and 1:2 if an employee comes to work during day OFF)
  • Double payment and extra day off if working on Public Holidays 

Job Summary 

  • To manage the entire arrival and departure process overseeing all ground handling activities to ensure a safe working environment and achieve an on-time departure.
  • Dispatchers will deal with a variety of airline systems and represent the company  through effective communication with flight and cabin crew at the aircraft side.
  • The Dispatchers will ensure that the aircraft departs safely as schedule and all passengers, baggage and cargo are accounted for. 

Job Responsibilities 

  • Supervise and Manage Aircraft by all means during Ground-time 
  • Coordinate resources (human and equipment) to better manage the turnaround 
  • Assist Crew if any needs 
  • Secure all duties and services according Contracts and agreed Standards 
  • Perform all necessary checks (according to flight report and other check sheets) 
  • Secure Safety for mankind and equipment 
  • Act customer oriented 
  • Keep ready to be engaged for additional equivalent works within the station 
  • Overall responsibility of the loading team during a turnaround 
  • Overall responsibility for the approach / removal of all equipment (GSE and safety – e.g. chocks, cones, etc) in order to comply with safety rules and customer standards 
  • Overall responsibility for the control of the service roads and the traffic within the operated aircraft stand 
  • Lead and is accountable for the aircraft handling team and the required equipment 
  • Accountable for the safe, secure and on time loading and handling of the assigned flight 
  • Drive and provide the required assistance so as to ensure that all ground handling activities are executed in an effective and timely manner 
  • Is responsible for the application and operation of the GPU, ACU and ASU System 
  • Perform Loading Supervision for the flights, accountable to confirm that the loading is in accordance with the Loading Instructions and any other relevant regulations and procedures (e.g. Dangerous Goods Regulations, Tie Down Procedures) 
  • Sign the Loading Instruction Form after completion of loading 
  • Perform and sign the Last Minute Changes (LMC) 
  • Perform FOD control and removal 
  • Ensure on-time performance of the loading team 
  • Ensure timely GSE positioning and clearance in the ramp servicing and staging areas 
  • Ensure the correct equipment is ready on stand for A/C arrival 
  • Ensure all members of the Loading Team are using correct safe working practices and they all have the correct PPE 
  • Perform aircraft marshaling and start-up clearance (including headset) duties 
  • Report any damage done to a/c or to our vehicle / equipment during turnaround operation 
  • Report personnel injuries during turn around if the case 
  • Has passed the relevant Loading Supervision Qualification Training (LIRF, CPM, LDM knowledge) and the Last-Minute Change qualification training (LMC) 
  • Has passed the relevant Marshaling / Startup / Headset Qualification Training 
  • Performs marshalling duties 

Qualifications and Competencies 

  • College/ University Degree or equivalent 
  • Valid driver’s license 
  • Good English oral and written communication skills 
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office) 
  • Be able to work in teams with minimal supervision 
  • Must be flexible and willing to work during various shifts including, holidays, weekends and night shifts 
  • Quality and Efficiency Oriented 
  • Attention to detail
  • Customer oriented Safety Awareness as top Priority 
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver on time 
  • Willingness to work in inclement weather 
  • Problem solving skills
