Our client is an internation AdTech company in Limassol is looking for a Data Engineer.

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership on production data: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to acquire and process data from multiple sources. 
  • Work with OLAP databases and data lakes to store and query high-volume data efficiently.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability across distributed systems.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Backend Engineers to make raw data accessible and usable.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and improve data infrastructure for scalability and cost efficiency

Requirements:

  • 3–5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer (or similar role) working with large-scale data systems.
  • Experience with Apache Spark or a similar distributed data processing framework.
  • Knowledge of Apache Iceberg or a similar data lakehouse table format.
  • Experience with SQL and at least one specialized OLAP database for large-scale analytics (e.g., Starrocks, ClickHouse, Druid, BigQuery).
  • Experience working with geographic data systems (e.g., H3 index, Geohash, or similar spatial indexing) is a big plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in fast-moving, high-volume data environments.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the AdTech ecosystem (DSPs, SSPs, RTB, programmatic advertising).
  • Knowledge of data lake architectures (Delta Lake, Iceberg, Hudi).
  • Hands-on expertise with Apache Kafka (producers, consumers, partitions, scaling).
  • Solid experience in building ETL/ELT pipelines (streaming and batch).
  • Strong proficiency with Python, Java, or Scala for data processing.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Contributions to open-source big data projects.

Working hours:

  • The working days are Monday – Friday, 9am-6pm with an hour off (onsite job for people located in Limassol, for candidates located in Paphos, Nicosia, etc. hybrid working can be discussed).
