Our client, a Satellite Communication Services Company in Limassol, is looking for a dedicated and energetic Credit Controller. We are looking for someone who is strong with numbers, eager to learn, and grow within the company, with a good understanding of accounting principles and basic credit control procedures. The ideal candidate should also be willing to go the extra mile, maintain a positive attitude, and be a collaborative with the other team members.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and adhere to all company policies related to cash collection and credit management
- Take ownership of debt collection for the assigned portfolio, ensuring timely follow-up on all outstanding payments
- Reach out to customers and partners regarding overdue balances, fostering positive relationships while addressing payment concerns
- Negotiate payment plans and terms, when necessary, always striving for amicable and practical solutions Maintain accurate records of transactions, balances, and any issues that impact payments, providing full transparency
- Collaborate closely with internal teams such as Sales and Customer Service to resolve disputes effectively and maintain strong client relationships
- Prepare regular reports on credit and collections activities, highlighting overdue accounts, potential credit risks, and identifying areas for improvement
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Prior experience in credit control or a similar role is advantageous
- In-depth understanding of accounting principles and credit control procedures
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism in difficult conversations
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Fluent in both Greek and English
Salary:
- The company is offering a salary of around 35K Euros gross per annum based on skills and experience (14th salaries) and provident fund at 3% after the first 6 months of probation period. The working hours are 8h30-17h30 with 1-hour lunch break.
