For an international Network of Service Companies in the financial industry in Limassol we are looking for an Accountant. Travel to client offices in Europe may be required once a year. If you have initiative, energy, and commitment to succeed, and would like to work with senior professionals in business and project development, this opportunity will suit you.

Responsibilities:

  • Performance of bank and other reconciliations;
  • Maintain accurate accounting books;
  • Ensure timely recording of incoming and outgoing accounting transactions;
  • Preparation of VAT returns;
  • Preparation of payments electronically;
  • Liaising with clients and external partners in order to perform daily accounting work;
  • Assist in timely completion of the audit of Companies’ financial statements;
  • Maintain clients’ data and ensure contract information is updated;
  • Contribute to the improvement of internal controls;
  • Responsible for accurate and timely document management;

Requirements:

  • Upper second-class qualification from a University 
  • Minimum experience of 3 – 5 years in a similar operating commercial role in a group of companies preferably; 
  • Experience in family offices is a plus
  • Operational understanding of international accounting standards;
  • Fluent in both Greek and English with good communication skills;
  • Working knowledge of Navision accounting package will be in advantage
  • Computer literate with experience of MS Office;
  • Ethical, trustworthy, reliable, discreet individual;
  • Dynamic, results oriented operating with speed and accuracy.
  • Results driven individual who can operate with speed and accuracy, whilst being an enthusiastic team player;
  • Willingness to travel between locations and client offices in Europe;
  • Ability to work independently;
  • Flexible and willing to take up new challenges and opportunities.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Working hours:

  • The working hours are Monday to Friday between 08:30-09:30 and 17:30-18:30 (one hour lunch break). This is an onsite role.
