Our client is a dynamic independent provider of trust and corporate services established in Cyprus, offering inter alia, tax advisory, fund administration, investment services, accounting and book-keeping, legal services and insolvency services in a number of key jurisdictions. The Group's business is focused on professionalism, attention to detail, and specialization on selected services with a strong partner network worldwide. Currently they are looking to recruit a Financial Services - Team Lead for their established offices in Limassol. This role can be done fully remotely. You’ll only need to go to the office for meetings and some other obligations.
Responsibilities:
- Review and advise on business transactions
- Supervise accountants and finance officers
- Allocate tasks, monitor deadlines and ensure workload balance
- Review work, provide coaching, support, training, and development to team members
- Responsible to ensure internal controls and accounting policies are followed by team members
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts
- Perform variance analysis (actual vs budget) and provide commentary and/or suggest corrective actions
- Develop dashboards and KPIs for financial performance monitoring
- Reviewing and occasionally processing accounting transactions
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes
- Review and ensure accuracy of management accounts and financial statements prepared under IFRS
- Review the accounting reports prepared for Funds
- Support implementation of risk management frameworks and internal policies
- Oversee the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial reporting processes
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting or equivalent
- ACCA/ACA qualification is mandatory
- At least 5 years of relevant previous experience of which 2 post obtaining professional qualification
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the accounting services industry
- Experience in managing a portfolio of client accounts
- Fluent business level Greek and English
- Strong accounting knowledge (IFRS, accruals, controls).
- Excellent analytical and financial modelling skills.
- High proficiency with ERP systems (Odoo)
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Ability to manage teams and communicate with stakeholders.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure
- Management skills and experience
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Good knowledge of MS office
- Very good knowledge of Tax and VAT
- Initiative and reliability
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Working Hours:
- The working hours are from Monday to Thursday from 9:00 - 18:00 with an hour lunch break and Friday's from 9:00 - 15:30.
