Our client, a Financial services advisory firm in Limassol, is looking to recruit a Senior Licensing Consultant.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and submission of applications to regulatory authorities for obtaining and/or expanding licenses of Financial Institutions (e.g. Investment Firms, Funds, AIFMs, Payment and Electronic Money Institutions, Crypto-Asset Service Providers)
- Support the drafting review and updating manuals, policies, processes and procedures with respect to the operations of Financial Institutions
- Assist in handling and organizing correspondence with regulatory and supervisory authorities
- Engage with relevant business units to ensure critical and timely review and completion of tasks
- Support the implementation and ongoing execution of Compliance Monitoring Programmes to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and obligations
- Assist in conducting onsite and desk-based inspections on compliance matters under the guidance of senior team members
- Assist in providing guidance and support to Financial Institutions on compliance-related queries and issues
- Work closely with senior team members/compliance experts team and coordinate with other departments (e.g. legal & corporate, accounting & tax, capital adequacy, internal audit, etc.) to maintain effective working relationships
- Review and analyse new regulations and advise how these are impacting Financial Institutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in economics or finance or accounting or risk Management or Law or related discipline from a reputable UK university
- First or Upper second-class honours
- Master’s degree in a related field will be considered an advantage
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a similar role position
- CySEC certificate (Basic or Advanced) for the provision of investment services will be considered as an advantage
- Fluent in English and Greek language, both verbal and written (knowledge of any other language shall be considered an advantage)
- Team player, highly organised, able to multitask, work well under pressure and deliver on time
- Strong communication skills
- Computer literate.
Working Hours:
- The working hours are very flexible.
- From Monday-Thursday you can choose to start from 7.30am-9am. The lunch break needs to be 30 minutes minimum and 90 minutes maximum. You will make 8 hours a day, so you can finish from 4.30pm -6pm.
- Friday is half day 8.30 -2pm.
- You can choose to work 1 day from home from Monday-Thursday (not Friday).
