Our client is a group which operates in the shipping industry for over 2 decades and today runs from several offices globally. The wider team consists of very diversified environment with 10 different nationalities across 6 office and they are looking for an Accountant to join their accounting team based in Limassol.
Key responsibilities
- Working in a small team of accountants (3 more people) assisting directly to accounts manager
- Daily tasks may include assisting with routine simple activities such as : reconciliations (Debtors - Creditors - Bank accounts), invoicing, transactions in banks, general bookkeeping.
- Liaise with local payroll specialists for each office to prepare salaries
- Prepare documents and materials for audit
- Monitor payments from clients and payment schedule to suppliers. Credit line utilisations, repayment schedules.
- Assist in preparation of transaction documents and documentation for obtaining bank financing
- Assist in preparation of regular management statements and reports (involves consolidation across all group companies). Assist in budget preparation and budget monitoring
Requirements:
- Past experience in a shipping company is a benefit (but not required)
- Minimum 5 years of experience
