Our client is a very well-established Commodity Trading Business and they are currently looking to recruit a Risk Officer to manage the risks associated with the company’s physical trading book ant their Limassol based offices.

Duties:

  • With direct responsibility for all hedging and pricing, the successful candidate will also be expected to develop solid knowledge of the London Metal Exchange market and be able to spot trading opportunities, recommend these to the management and execute them accordingly  
  • The candidate will also be responsible for daily reporting of any key events to manage the risk positions. 

Requirements: 

  • Degree in mathematics, business, finance, or similar field will be considered an advantage. 
  • Prior market risk management experience at an Investment Bank or Trading house will be an advantage. 
  • Excellent command of English language. 
  • Strong common sense, intellectual curiosity, and willingness to learn. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team. 
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills. 
  • Reliable, disciplined, mature, and trustworthy. 
  • Able to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines under pressure. 
  • High commitment and a results-driven mindset. 
  • Knowledge of commodity markets desirable. 
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg terminal – considered an advantage. 

Working hours:  

  • This position will require very early working morning hours due to the Asian market requirements. Example: 03:00 OR 04:00 AM- 08:00 (work from home / must be available for calls and messages) and then from 12:00-14:00 to be at work at the office (Total hours per week: 38-40)
