Our client, a Fintech company in Limassol, is looking to recruit an experienced Regulatory Compliance Officer.
Responsibilities:
Regulatory Liaison:
- Serve as the primary point of contact with CySEC and other regulatory bodies;
- Maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities and stay informed of any changes in regulatory requirements.
Regulatory Assessment and Implementation:
- Evaluate newly published CySEC announcements, circulars, directives, and laws for their applicability to the company's activities;
- Ensure timely implementation of relevant regulatory changes within the company.
Reporting Obligations:
- Prepare and submit all required reports to CySEC in compliance with CIF obligations;
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting under MIFIR, EMIR, and SFTR regulations.
Policy and Procedure Monitoring:
- Assess and ensure that company policies and procedures are adequate to detect any risk of non-compliance with regulatory obligations;
- Ensure that these policies and procedures are established, implemented, maintained, and regularly reviewed;
- Consider the nature, scale, and complexity of the company’s business and the range of investment services and activities undertaken.
Compliance Monitoring Program:
- Develop, construct, and execute the Compliance Monitoring Program;
- Regularly review and update the program to address any changes in regulatory requirements or business activities.
Training and Awareness:
- Prepare and conduct compliance training sessions for employees;
- Ensure that all employees are aware of and comply with applicable laws, rules, and regulations;
- Maintain records of training sessions and attendance.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Regulatory Compliance Officer or similar role;
- In-depth knowledge of CySEC regulations and reporting requirements;
- Strong understanding of MIFIR, EMIR, and SFTR reporting obligations;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to interpret and implement regulatory requirements effectively;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Understanding and implementation RBA;
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy;
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field.
Working hours:
- The working hours are Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm with one hour lunch break (office-based position, not remote).
