Our client is an established regulated financial services company who are looking to recruit a Junior IT Support Officer to join their team based in Nicosia.
Responsibilities:
- Provide in-house IT Support including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all the server/storage/network devices
- Front end web development - working close with marketing team
- Maintain and monitor server health and backups
- Ensure company’s network infrastructure security
- Provide help desk support and escalate problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution with third party vendors.
- Manage IT system infrastructure, maintain IT assets for hardware and software inventories and software licensing.
- Ensure proper maintenance of computers peripherals, printer, internet & email, security, data backup and recovery.
- Installation, monitoring and maintenance of IT systems, networks, applications and servers, perform enhancements and upgrades
- Train and guide new users on using software, PC maintenance and troubleshoot
- Ensuring the smooth operation of all hardware and electronic equipment of the company
- Responding in a timely manner to service/network issues and requests.
- Reviews vendor contracts and coordinates IT purchases (hardware, software and services)
- Participates in the documentation and implementation of policies and standard operating procedure
- Administering systems security by configuring, monitoring, and maintaining virus protection software
- Track vulnerabilities and patching status of all operating systems, applications, and systems
- Monitoring server software and hardware
- Maintenance of regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection and failover procedures
Requirements:
- Any coding languages will be considered an advantage
- University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant field.
- Work experience in a similar role is considered an advantage
- Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy is essential
- Strong knowledge of Network configuration (DNS/DHCP/Routers/Switches/Wireless Access Points)
- Administration of Windows Servers
- Good knowledge of Firewall configuration (CISCO)
- Good knowledge of VMware ESXi will be considered a plus
- Use of Photoshop & Illustrator is considered an advantage
- Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Creativity is key
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
