Our client is a CySec Licensed Forex Trading Company in Limassol and they are looking for an IT Support Engineer. As an IT Support Engineer, you will support the team with their technology requirements, including maintaining existing networks and assets to ensure seamless operations. You will also serve as the first point of contact for any IT outages and cloud-based incidents. This role is ideal for someone fresh out of university or with equivalent education in IT support. The position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure, as timely responses to outages are crucial for minimizing business impact. Proficiency in English is essential. Training will be provided by the central team. You may also need to attend meetings outside of regular office hours to coordinate with global teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing first level support during a system outage
  • Providing Desktop Support
  • Offering G-suite support
  • Providing desk phone and softphone support for different PBX providers
  • Addressing known issues with Mac OS
  • Offering support for Google Apps and Office365 
  • Providing ChromeOS Desktop Support
  • Offering Remote Support
  • Troubleshooting Windows issues, desktop applications installation, and troubleshooting
  • Providing security support and troubleshooting
  • Detailed incident logging, tracking, and reporting on user tickets, overall ticket management using Jira Service Desk Help Ticketing Software
  • Providing 1st and 2nd Level support - troubleshooting IT-related problems from in-house software to hardware, such as Smartphones, Laptops, PCs, and Printers
  • Maintaining company hardware inventory
  • Participating in the staff onboarding and offboarding processes

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Technical background and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Degree or equivalent (Business, Marketing or related)
  • Curiosity, willingness to learn, and to document that learning
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in writing.
  • Strong communicator
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and respond to multiple requests in an efficient manner
  • Formal qualification in technical support is a plus
  • Punctuality and friendly
  • EU-citizenship

Working hours:

  • The working hours are 9-18 or 8-17, working from the office but every Wednesday from home
