Our client is part of a successful & profitable Global European Analytics company that works with governmental organizations and has sites in different locations across Europe such as Athens, Italy, Macedonia, Ireland and Cyprus and they are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer for their Limassol office who wants to grow and develop with the company.
The Delivery/Operations functions are based in Cyprus and the R&D is based in the other locations across Europe.
Responsibilities:
Travel up to 70% to perform installations to customers.
Perform Installations, repairs of datacenter hardware and network devices.
Create datacenter base documentation, and site-specific layout materials.
Requirements:
B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience of at least two years overall in IT or technical support.
Experience with building physical datacenter such as copper/fiber cabling, power distribution, datacenter racking and installation of network hardware.
Experience with Firewalls, Switches and Routers
Experience with any of virtualization technologies such as VMware, KVM, Xen Hypervisor
Understanding of networking protocols and concepts such as DNS, DHCP, HTTP, SSL, TCP/IP, UDP.
Knowledge of the UNIX/Linux operating system.
