Our client is a Design & Technology Company in Limassol and they are looking for an Educational Researcher. We are looking for a mechanical or related engineer that likes teaching or a Teacher, Mathematician, Physicist who likes to teach and do research and development.
Responsibilities:
- To develop unique lesson plans that will use various constructional sets as well as associated software that will teach kids of various ages, from preschool to high school, as these relate to Science and Technology, and according to latest pedagogical trends.
- To author the supporting theory of the lesson plans in a fun and engaging way that will inspire children to learn about the technologies.
- To teach and run workshops for students aged 4 - 15, also providing feedback for improvement.
- To carry out academic level background research on papers and the latest developments in the field, as well as competitor research and to present these to the management and other personnel in a clear and concise way.
- To test the company's new solutions with students, gather data, run interviews and analyze results to coauthor articles for publishing at world-renowned conferences and international magazines.
- To search and identify funding opportunities in the EU and co-author new research proposals.
- To coordinate research projects with internal and external researchers and subcontractors, making sure that deliverables and deadlines are met, creating also the regular reports needed.
- To write user manuals and content for books and online viewing.
- To develop teacher manuals and methodologies as well as teacher training but also "train the trainers".
- To travel regularly for visiting conferences, university partners and tradeshows and make presentations.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in any of the fields of Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or Education Science.
- A PhD in education will be considered an advantage but is not necessary.
- Previous experience in teaching students will be needed of at least 4 years.
- Excellent command of English language is a must, both verbal and written. Knowledge of Greek language will be an advantage.
- Experience in Academic level research or in EU programs.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Driver’s license.
- Located in Limassol area
Working Hours:
The working hours are 08:00-17:00 or 08:30-17:30 Monday to Thursday. On Friday 08:00-15:00 or 08:30-15:30 (onsite role)
