They are also the number one Energy & Commodities broker in the world, the world’s leading provider of OTC data, and an award winning all-to-all trading platform which operates from more than 60 offices in 27 countries and they are looking to hire a DevOps Lead to join their team based in the Limassol office.
The DevOps Lead will oversee a multi-disciplinary DevOps team, reporting to Head of Fixed Income Technology and collaborating closely with Architects and Principal Engineers. This role combines strategic infrastructure design with hands-on DevOps leadership, ensuring delivery pipelines align with business goals and evolve toward target architecture. The role fosters innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across environments.
Role Responsibilities:
Infrastructure & Architecture
- Design and implement scalable, secure infrastructure using best practices.
- Architect AWS environments aligned with cloud governance and cost optimization.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies for infrastructure evolution.
DevOps & Automation
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using TeamCity and GitLab.
- Create reusable DevOps artefacts that set standards for the team.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Enhance monitoring and alerting systems for proactive incident management.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and mentor junior engineers, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with Group IT Architecture and DevOps teams to align strategies.
- Use delivery metrics to inform roadmap planning and milestone estimation.
- Facilitate planning and prioritization using preferred tooling (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
Governance & SDLC
- Ensure adherence to a well-defined SDLC that supports agile delivery.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables aligned with strategic initiatives
Operational
- Release management and coordination
- Environment management
- This requires some abnormal working hours typically late evenings and weekends
Requirements/ Experience / Competences:
Essential
- Deep expertise in AWS services and deployment trade-offs.
- Proficiency in Linux and Windows administration.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Kubeflow, Istio (desired).
- CI/CD tooling: TeamCity, GitLab Pipelines.
- Artifact management: Nexus, Artifactory.
- IaC: Terraform, CloudFormation.
- Configuration management: Ansible.
- GitFlow, SonarQube, automated testing.
- AWS cost optimisation
- Proven leadership within software delivery teams.
- Experience coaching and mentoring engineers.
- Ability to influence and simplify complex problems.
- Strong planning, estimation, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent communication (written & verbal).
- Time management, adaptability, and resilience.
- Goal-oriented, collaborative, and automation-aware.
- Strategic mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- University degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Relevant DevOps certifications (AWS, Kubernetes, etc.).
- ISTQB Foundation (desired for testing awareness).
