Our client is a Design & Technology Company in Limassol and they are looking for a Deputy to the Production Manager to support day-to-day factory operations—production planning, costing, procurement and sourcing, ISO documentation, Quality control, product certification, ERP/MRP II/WMS implementation and deployment. The role is designed to augment the current Production Manager, ensuring continuity, improved digitization, and operational excellence as the company scales at a factory. This is a development role with a clear progression pathway: as the current Production Manager expands into a Factory Manager role, the successful candidate will be positioned to advance to higher positions in the Production Management, based on performance and business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Support production planning & execution: prepare schedules, coordinate materials and resources, monitor output, and assist in problem resolution.
- Sourcing & Purchasing: Order timely materials and components for the production based actual orders and forecast, find alternative suppliers and negotiate prices to drop costing while increasing quality and improving production lead times.
- ERP & MRP II implementation: participate in the rollout and optimisation of the company’s ERP system (Odoo) including material requirements planning (MRP II), routing, costing, and production tracking modules.
- WMS & inventory control: assist in the implementation and operation of the Warehouse Management System, ensuring stock accuracy, real-time tracking, and efficient material flow.
- Costing & reporting: support product and process costing, KPI tracking, and monthly management reports.
- ISO & internal controls: maintain and improve work instructions, quality documentation, and internal audit procedures (ISO 9001/14001/45001).
- Maintenance coordination: plan preventive maintenance and follow up on corrective actions of injection molds and machines.
- People support & HR: contribute to recruitment, onboarding, training, employee evaluation and mentoring, and day-to-day shop-floor coordination.
- Continuous improvement: participate in lean manufacturing, 5S, and digital transformation initiatives.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- At least 7 years experience in production/manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a coordinating or deputy management role.
- Proven involvement in ERP implementation (preferably Odoo) and good understanding of MRP II principles and WMS systems.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills; comfortable with costing, scheduling, and KPI analysis.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Fluent Greek and English language skills
Working hours:
- The working hours are 08:00-17:00 or 08:30-17:30 Monday to Thursday. On Friday 08:00-15:00 or 08:30-15:30 (onsite role)
