Our client is a dynamic and reputable Shipmanagement company specializing in crew management for a mixed fleet of containers, bulk carriers, car carriers and multipurpose vessels.
With a strong commitment to safety, compliance, and operational excellence, we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Crewing Officer to join the team at their Limassol offices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute and coordinate all aspects of crew change operations, including flight bookings and liaison with vessels, port agents, and manning agents.
- Manage crew travel arrangements, visa requirements, and all related formalities to ensure the smooth and timely completion of each crew change.
- Monitor vessels’ crew relief planning under the supervision of the Crew Manager.
- Ensure that all Crew National and Flag State documentation, as well as other mandatory certificates, are updated in the computerized crewing software.
- Apply for Flag State documentation for all joining crew members and monitor their validity.
- Prepare and issue Contracts of Employment and Addenda (when required).
- Monitor crew performance reports and promptly notify the Crew Manager of any deviations.
- Verify and confirm invoices related to crew changes.
- Prepare quotations for crew change operations.
- Confirm Cash-to-Master requests.
- Stay informed on new legislation and regulatory updates related to MLC, STCW, ISPS, and other maritime standards
Requirements:
- Graduate of business or shipping related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a maritime HR role.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English is required.
- Familiar with international maritime regulations (MLC, STCW).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
