As a Senior Accountant, you will manage daily financial operations, ensure compliance with Cyprus tax regulations, and contribute to accurate reporting that supports business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using SAP accounting software. Record financial transactions and ensure the integrity of the accounting system.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable/receivable and investigate any discrepancies.
- Tax Payments and Returns: Prepare and submit timely and accurate VAT and VIES returns. Process tax payments in compliance with Cyprus tax regulations, as well as coordinate with tax consultants on all tax-related matters to ensure compliance
- Audit Support: Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate and complete audit processes efficiently.
- General Ledger Functions: Oversee and execute general ledger functions within SAP to maintain accurate records.
- Financial Reporting: Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements. Generate and analyse financial reports to provide insights to the management team. Ensure the accuracy of financial data and compliance with accounting standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather relevant financial information. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to address accounting-related queries.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or a similar role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in bookkeeping and accounting standards.
- In-depth knowledge of Cyprus VAT and VIES regulations.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel.
- Experience with SAP accounting software is a plus.
- Certifications: ACCA/ACA certification is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively as a team player.
