Our client, a Marine Services Company in Limassol, is looking for an Accountant.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate data entry in the accounting system.
- Process and review accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and other balance sheet reconciliations.
- Handle month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
- Maintain organised, accurate, and up-to-date financial records and supporting documentation.
- Prepare financial reports and assist in the analysis of financial data.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and relevant legislation.
- Assist with VAT submissions, tax documentation, and other regulatory filings.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required information and schedules.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting, invoicing, or payment discrepancies.
- Contribute to process improvements and accounting system enhancements.
- Perform ad-hoc accounting and finance tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
- Knowledge of VAT and basic tax compliance requirements is an advantage.
- Fluent Greek and English skills

Benefits:
The company is offering a salary of 1,800 – 2,000 Euros gross x 14 salaries plus provident fund 3% after probation + 85 euro coffee shop allowance, top up of maternity and paternity leave to 100%, half day leave on BD and 20 days leave year 1 and then 21 after year 1
Working Hours:
The working hours are flexible, with arrival between 08:00–08:30 and departure between 16:30–17:00, including a 30-minute break. This can be discussed further with the Manager at a later stage.
