Our client is an International Investment Firm who is looking for an Accountant to be part of their team and based in Limassol.

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and reliable Accountant to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate looking to build a long-term career in accounting and finance within a professional and dynamic environment.

Job Description

  • The Accountant will support the Finance and Accounting Department in the day-to-day financial operations of the company and assist in maintaining accurate financial records and compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily bookkeeping and recording of financial transactions 
  • Processing invoices, payments, and bank transactions 
  • Performing bank, debtor, creditor, and supplier reconciliations 
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Supporting month-end and year-end closing procedures 
  • Preparing trial balances, profit & loss statements, and other financial reports 
  • Maintaining accurate accounting records and supporting documentation 
  • Assisting with tax forms and regulatory reporting 
  • Coordinating and maintaining effective communication with auditors, secretaries, suppliers, banks, and relevant authorities when required 
  • Ensuring compliance with VAT, tax, and accounting regulations 
  • Using Xero accounting software for bookkeeping, reconciliations, reporting, and financial management 
  • Supporting the Finance Manager and Accounting Department with ad hoc tasks and administrative duties 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field 
  • LCCI Higher or equivalent accounting qualification will be considered an advantage 
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar accounting role (graduates with strong academic background may also apply) 
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles and VAT procedures 
  • Familiarity with Xero accounting software will be considered an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel 
  • Professional proficiency in written and spoken English and Greek and Russian 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a professional approach 
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and grow professionally
