They are seeking an Accountant who can become a part of their Operations & Finance team and process and share various financial information for the group of companies complying with all required standards.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintenance of general ledgers across a group of companies, including entities fully administered in-house and entities supported by external service providers
- Bookkeeping based on structured invoices database and bank statements
- Coding invoices, setting up new accounts, reconciliation of accounts, closing the monthly books
- Preparation of the VAT returns
- Management of accounts receivable and accounts payable across group companies
- Verification of invoice payments against accounts payable records and allocation of payments to the appropriate ledger accounts
- Reconciliation of statements with service providers, vendors and other counterparts
- Monitoring of loan maturities and recording of interest accruals
- Ensuring availability of all supporting documentation, organise all data and workings in well-structured way
- Preparation of the TB, PL, BS, ledgers of the in-house maintained entities for audit purposes
- Assist with audit request, providing needful workings and documentation
Requirements
- BSc/MSc in Accounting/Audit
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in accounting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English to handle formal requests as well as to build clear in-team communication
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office package and Teams, Google Workspace, task trackers, relevant accounting systems such as BTMS
- Familiarity of accounting standards, legislation and taxation of Cyprus, as a plus – of Malta, Netherlands, US
- Relevant certifications as a plus
- Well-organized, high-paced, yet very attentive to details
