Our client is a multi-regulated Forex Broker with offices in Europe , Africa and Australia and they are currently looking to recruit and experience Trading Operations Team Lead who will be working on a hybrid work model out of their Limassol offices 

The Role:

  • The successful candidate will play a crucial role in upholding the company’s commitment to excellence in service to business users and clients and the primary responsibility is to ensure the utmost system uptime and reliability, a critical aspect of our operational success. 
  • You will be instrumental in identifying and resolving any issues that may affect client-facing trading platforms including MT4, MT5 cTrader and our in house trading technology.
  • This role requires you to maintain continuous monitoring of our trading infrastructure and ticketing system, ensuring a comprehensive oversight of our mission-critical systems.
  • In your capacity as the Trading Operations Team Lead, you will assume a leadership role aimed at driving exceptional results. Your responsibilities will span across enhancing the efficiency of the Trading Operations department and ensuring the timely delivery of projects.
  • A deep practical knowledge of all trading systems used by the company, coupled with a profound understanding of the company's business model, is essential. You will also need a demonstrated skill set in managing trading infrastructure securely and efficiently.
  • Moreover, you will be responsible for the training and education of junior team members, managing and delegating tasks and projects within the team effectively. This approach is designed to elevate the overall level of knowledge and expertise within the team, fostering a collaborative and skilled team environment.

Key responsibilities :

  • Providing high-level Tier 2&3 escalation support, addressing operational challenges and ensuring timely resolutions to support business needs.
  • Overseeing the configuration and maintenance of key trading platforms such as MT4, MT5, cTrader, and our in-house trading servers, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively.
  • Playing an active role in the configuration and management of our trading technology, including OneZero Hubs, where you will combine hands-on technical skills with strategic oversight to ensure optimal performance.
  • Managing and troubleshooting system issues, overseeing system upgrades, and documenting processes to provide robust technical support for the business.
  • Leading and participating in end-to-end trade investigations, ensuring a thorough and detailed approach to any trading discrepancies or issues.
  • Handling daily operational tasks, adapting to the dynamic needs of the business, and ensuring that all routine and critical operations are completed efficiently.
  • Rapidly identifying and addressing system outages, minimizing downtime and its impact on business operations.
  • Delivering swift, effective and efficient support to stakeholders across the business, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed promptly.
  • Coordinating closely with internal IT departments and external technology providers on trading infrastructure projects, ensuring smooth execution and alignment with business objectives.
  • Educating colleagues on software and hardware aspects, providing them with the necessary technical advice and support to enhance their understanding and capabilities.
  • Leading a team of Trading Operations Engineers, focusing on their professional development and ensuring that their skills and contributions are aligned with the operational goals of the company

About you:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated excellent proficiency in both written and oral English.
  • Bring at least 3 years of experience in a comparable role within the online trading industry.
  • Showcase hands-on expertise with trading platforms, particularly MT4/MT5 and cTrader.
  • Familiarity with Bridge Providers such as Prime XM and OneZero is necessary.
  • Exposure to Zabbix, Graylog, or other alerting systems is viewed as a plus.
  • Familiarity with SQL queries is seen as advantageous.
  • Exhibit flexibility concerning work hours, weekend tasks, and shifts.
  • Show commitment to continuous learning and development.
  • Knowledge of FIX API and FIX protocol is considered advantageous.
