Our client an International Group of Companies with diversified business operations are currently looking to recruit a Supply Chain Officer on a Maternity Cover basis from July – December
Responsibilities
- Match Forecasted levels of customer demand, with Contracted Supply to ensure and plan orders accordingly
- Liaise between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers
- Act as an escalation point of contact for issues relating to order accuracy and quality
- Assist Department Manager in Negotiating in contracts and pricing while monitoring the quality of service provided
- Produce and present various reports and statistics for upper Management
- Ensure accuracy and efficiency of shipping operations, invoicing, record keeping and inventories
- Proactively work with Department Manager to identify issues and provide long term solutions
- Ensure compliance to legal regulations and company policies
Requirements
- Experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management or Logistics
- BSc/BA in a Supply Chain, Shipping or logistics or related field will be considered an advantage
- Knowledge of logistics operations and shipping procedures and documents
- Solid knowledge of international logistics procedures
- Computer savvy with excellent knowledge of MS Office (strong Excel), Microsoft Navision will be considered a plus
- Good understanding of budgeting and reporting
- Great interpersonal and communication skills, excellent team player
