Our client, Shipping Company in Limassol, is looking to hire a Spares and Logistics Officer / Technical Purchaser.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing requisitions of spares submitted by vessels
- Issuing requisitions for spares from office side
- Update and input items/parts in machineries in the system for the Fleet.
- Sending out inquiries for quotations to various suppliers.
- Analysing quotations and submitting evaluations to the technical/purchasing manager.
- Placing orders and arranging the safe and economical delivery of requested items to respective vessels at convenient ports.
- Evaluating supplier offers based on performance, pricing, quality, payment terms, and previous cooperation.
- Arranging shipments word wide for the whole fleet as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Maritime Studies, or a related field
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations
- Knowledge of international logistics and port operations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Good negotiation and relationship management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Greek
Working Hours:
The working hours are Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm with a small lunch break
