Our client is an IT Company based in Limassol, looking for a Senior Systems Engineer.
Responsibilities:
Provide local and remote support to customers using the company's ticketing support system to effectively keep track, resolve and escalate issues inline the company's SLAs
Manage, monitor, maintain and support customer and in-house systems, applications and infrastructure Analyze logs and use the company's monitoring and alerting systems to identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems as well as for capacity planning
Apply updates to operating systems, applications and equipment software/firmware, ensuring optimal security, availability and reliability
Update and develop scripts and tools to improve service delivery and automation
Design and implement IT solutions and infrastructure with high availability, scalability and security baked in.
Requirements:
University/college degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant subject
At least 5 year working experience in a similar position
Extensive experience working with Microsoft on-premises and cloud technologies such as Hyper-V, Windows Server 2012 or newer (Active Directory, GPOs, DHCP, WSUS), Office 365, etc.
Excellent knowledge of VMWare virtualization technologies including ESXi, vCenter and ideally, VDI as well as Veeam availability and monitoring solutions
Strong knowledge of Linux and hosting technologies e.g. Apache, MySQL, Postfix, Dovecot, etc.
Previous experience with NetApp storage products/solutions, Network Monitoring Systems (NSM) such as Zabbix, Linux and Symantec/ESET security solutions will be considered an advantage
Active certifications in any of the required technology areas will be considered as an advantage
Ability to line manage and mentor junior members of the team
Good interpersonal and communicational skills in English, both verbal and writing
Hard and efficient worker, able to deliver under pressure in a multitasking and fast-paced environment without compromise on timelines, quality of work and service levels

Working hours:
The working hours are from 9 am - 6 pm with a one-hour lunch break
