Our client is an international AdTech company in Limassol is looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain scalable back-end services and APIs using Golang.
- Translate product requirements into reliable, maintainable technical solutions.
- Develop services that query, process, and serve large volumes of data efficiently.
- Work closely with Front-End, Data, and DevOps Engineers to deliver a seamless end-to-end experience.
- Optimize application performance, database queries, and resource usage.
- Write testable code, participate in code reviews, and troubleshoot production issues.
- Implement secure access controls and maintain data isolation across customers.
Requirements:
- 5–8+ years of professional experience building production back-end systems.
- Strong proficiency in Golang and experience designing RESTful APIs.
- Solid understanding of concurrency, distributed systems, and service-to-service communication.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Experience diagnosing performance bottlenecks and optimizing data access.
- Familiarity with automated testing, Git, and collaborative development workflows.
- Ability to take ownership of features from technical design through deployment and support.
- Ability to balance delivery speed with reliability, performance, and maintainability.
- Experience with geospatial data, location-based queries, or GIS applications is a plus.
- Familiarity with Docker, AWS, and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
- Exposure to Spark, Iceberg, or large-scale data processing architectures is a plus.
- Experience with Kafka or similar event-streaming platforms is a plus.
- Familiarity with Elasticsearch, StarRocks, or other analytical data stores is a plus.
- Knowledge of AdTech systems and real-time data workflows is a plus.

Working Hours:
The working days are Monday – Friday, 9am-6pm with an hour off (onsite job for people located in Limassol, for candidates located in Paphos, Nicosia, etc. hybrid working can be discussed).
