Our client is Real Estate company and its primary business is the redevelopment of community shopping centres and residential for rent assets in Central Europe. An opportunity has become available as my client is looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join the team at their Limassol based offices.
Responsibilities:
- Support Financial Controller with ensuring accounting records are complete for several companies in EU jurisdictions on monthly basis;
- Ensure management accounts, financial statements and internal financial reports are prepared and recorded in a timely manner and within tight deadlines;
- Preparation of annual financial statements and supporting documentation for audit;
- Assist and cooperate with the company's external accountants, auditors and tax advisors;
- Assist in monitoring of the Company loans and ensure covenants are met;
- Analyse and recommend potential alternative financing structures and explain/show their impact on earnings, balance sheet, tax effects and financial ratios.
- Develop and implement cash management operational strategies
- Assisting in the preparation and submission of VAT and CIT returns;
- Prepare, support, monitor and upload of the quarterly forecasts and annual budgets
- Ensure timely payment of company's obligations to suppliers, tax authorities and other parties and monitor costs are according to budget;
- Ensure proper controls are in place for regulatory requirements such as SOX
- Ensure that financial policies and procedures are developed and updated according to group's policies
- Support the local Finance Director and Financial Controller on accounting and tax matters in relevant meetings with the Management as necessary
- Guide and support junior members of staff
- Support ad-hoc financial requests and analysis
Qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Management or a related field
- Member of a professional Accounting body (ACA/ACCA/CPA)
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and Caseware
- Experience with MS Dynamics, Trinity Treasury Management and LucaNet will be an advantage
- At least 3 years working experience in a similar position
- Excellent command of the English and Greek Language (both written and verbal)
- Dynamic with an ability to solve problems and provide results
- Excellent interpersonal and management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Working hours :
- 9:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Thursday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on Fridays (flexibility)
- Starting date as soon as possible
Salary & Benefits
- Salary based on experience from 36,000 to 38,000 Euros gross ideally (Max we can offer is 40K).
- Annual discretionary bonus based on performance (typically but not guaranteed 2 months’ salary).
- Travelling allowance depending on distance from house to office.
- Provident fund (employer starts contributing after 6 months employment up to 3%)
