Our client is a supplier in Nicosia looking for a highly motivated and results-oriented Sales Representative to join their growing team immediately. This is a versatile position combining a commission-based sales role and a storekeeper role, offering a rewarding opportunity for individuals with a strong sales drive and a passion for building relationships. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in expanding the customer base, achieving ambitious sales targets and running the daily shop operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new sales leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, email marketing, and social media outreach.
  • Arrange and carry out sales appointments with prospective customers (fuel expenses covered)
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the value and benefits of our products.
  • Negotiate and close sales deals effectively.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the store on a part-time basis. This includes managing inventory levels, handling cash register transactions and ensuring the shop is clean, organized and visually appealing.
  • Provide excellent customer service through the phone and in person and address customer inquiries promptly.
  • Track sales performance and report on key metrics.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and competitor activities.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in sales, preferably in the craft supplies or retail market
  • Valid driver’s license 
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good communication skills in English and Greek
  • Enthusiastic about the candle-making industry (preferred)

Working hours:

  • General timetable: Monday-Saturday with total on-site working hours not exceeding 25 hours per week at the store.
  • Commission-based sales can be carried out during non-store hours, with complete flexibility, up to the discretion of the employee.

Salary:

  • The basic salary will depend on the hours you will be working at the shop. Since this position is commission-based for the rest of the hours (when the person is not at the shop), the successful candidate can work as many hours/days as they please.
  • My client only requires the person to be working at the shop e.g. for 20-25hrs/week, at least for the days and times mentioned, and the rest of the time they can be used to meet customers.
  • Any successful sales achieved through those meetings will be commission-based.
