Our client, a Leading Proprietary Trading Firm in Nicosia is looking for a hands-on Risk Operations Team Lead who combines strong people leadership with analytical judgment. You’ll lead the team’s daily operations, handle complex account reviews, and drive improvements in account monitoring and trader payouts processes across our brands.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the team through training, ongoing feedback, performance management and clear priorities
- Oversee daily operations, including account reviews, trading activity monitoring and compliance with trading program rules
- Manage trader payout reviews and verification processes, working closely with Finance and Support teams
- Handle complex account reviews, investigate potential rule violations, and ensure proper documentation and escalation of sensitive cases
- Monitor operational KPIs, including turnaround times, review accuracy, and backlog, and translate findings into improvement actions
- Collaborate with Trading, Product, Technology, Finance, and Support teams to resolve operational issues and implement practical solutions
- Investigate recurring issues and drive improvements in operational controls and workflows, including automation opportunities
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in risk operations, trading operations, financial operations, or a comparable analytical role
- At least 2 years of team leadership experience, including training, task allocation, and performance management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and make data driven decisions
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with dashboards, reports, and operational systems.
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Strong ownership, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience with prop trading, trading platforms, or financial systems- an advantage
- Experience with SQL, BI tools, or workflow automation – an advantage.

Working Hours:
The working hours are 9am – 6pm, Monday to Friday (onsite role)
