Our client in Limassol is a service company to several forex brands having different licenses and they are focused on payments. They are looking to recruit an ambitious and strong Reconciliation Officer who is able to provide value. It’s a startup company and a demanding environment, so they are looking for someone who is very dedicated and flexible, and wanting to make a success of the company.
The Reconciliation Officer will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions by performing daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations. Tasks include identifying discrepancies, communicating effectively with internal teams, providing administrative assistance, and resolving reconciliation issues.
Responsibilities:
- Daily Transaction Reconciliation for multiple companies: Perform daily reconciliations between all monetary transactions recorded on the trading platforms and corresponding balances with banks and payment service providers (PSPs).
- Discrepancy Analysis and Resolution: Investigate and analyse any discrepancies or gaps identified during the reconciliation process, provide clear explanations, and ensure timely resolution or follow-up.
- Support in Cash Reporting: Assist the Financial Controller in the preparation of daily and weekly cash flow reports, ensuring completeness and accuracy of underlying data.
- Review of PSP and Bank Charges: Regularly review all fees and charges in accordance with PSP and bank agreements, ensuring correct application and identifying any anomalies.
- Process Improvement and Accuracy: Maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency, and contribute to improving reconciliation and reporting processes where necessary.
Requirements:
- Experience in an Accounting with Reconciliation tasks included
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas)
- Ability to adapt easily to new situations and technologies including AI
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and accuracy in handling financial data
- Efficient, organized, and capable of meeting tight deadlines
- Experience in financial operations, reconciliation, or similar roles is an advantage but not required
- Excellent Communication skills
- No prior industry experience required
- Fluency in English
- Driven, proactive, and focused on how you can contribute
- EU-citizenship
Working hours:
- The working hours are Monday to Friday 9:00am – 6:00pm (onsite role).
