Our client is a globally recognized private technology and engineering firm, offering advanced industrial IT solutions across the Hydrocarbons, Chemicals and Power Generation Industries and they are currently looking to recruit an experienced QA Engineer to join the Product team at their offices in Nicosia
Role Overview:
- We're looking for a meticulous and passionate QA Engineer to join our product team.
- You will play a key role in ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our applications through manual testing.
- This is a hands-on role that requires a strong technical background and a proactive mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product manager, developers, and designers to understand product requirements and define test strategies.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Execute manual tests to ensure product quality across platforms.
- Identify, record, and track bugs; verify fixes and close the loop on open issues.
- Advocate for best QA practices and participate in improving the overall testing process.
- Perform regression testing and release sign-offs as part of CI/CD pipelines.
- Stay updated on QA trends, tools, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing.
- Solid knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, databases, and test environments.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
Nice to Have
- Experience with performance/load testing tools.
- Familiarity with version control systems and CI/CD tools.
- Experience testing SaaS or consumer-facing products.
- Programming or scripting experience (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Bash) is a plus.
- Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Postman).
Salary and benefits
- From 3000 – 3500 Euros based on experience
- After probation we provide Life insurance and Provident fund. Provident fund, the company contribution 2.5% and the employee can choose to contribute from 1 – 10%.
- Performance bonus at year end.
- It is a Hybrid role – Week 1: 2 days from home, Week 2: 3 days from home.
