Our client is a multi-regulated Forex Broker with offices in Europe, Africa and Australia and they are currently looking to recruit an experienced Operations Manager who will report directly to the General Manager and working from their offices in Limassol.
Key Position Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a high-performing Trading Operations team, fostering development, collaboration, and accountability.
- Oversee and ensure the productivity, quality, and availability of trading platforms, including symbols, spreads, transactions, and server performance.
- Act as a technical expert, managing and maintaining trading systems, infrastructure, and bridge technologies (e.g., OneZero, PrimeXM, others).
- Proactively monitor and optimize liquidity providers, market data vendors, and trading environments to ensure seamless operations.
- Drive innovation by identifying opportunities for system enhancements, automation, and continuous improvement in trading operations.
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and systems to align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Act as the escalation point for technical or operational client issues, ensuring resolutions that improve processes and client outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including trading infrastructure vendors, to maintain operational excellence.
- Plan, set, and communicate clear team objectives, while monitoring performance to ensure the delivery of operational goals.
- Mentor and support team members, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and high performance.
- Collaborate with Market Risk, Compliance, and Finance teams to deliver regulatory reporting, manage transaction analysis, and ensure accurate trade execution.
- Work closely with internal and external teams across regions and time zones to ensure effective collaboration and alignment of operational goals.
- Contribute to strategic planning by providing insights on trading infrastructure, operational improvements, and system scalability.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of trading platforms, infrastructure, and connectivity solutions to support hands-on troubleshooting and technical decision-making.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Attributes:
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, IT, Mathematics, or a related field; postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline are highly regarded.
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a team management role within the Margin FX and CFD industries.
- Extensive experience with retail trading platforms (MT4/5, cTrader) and dealing technology vendors such as OneZero, PrimeXM or any other leading technology vendor.
- Deep understanding of trading platform maintenance, monitoring, and administration, as well as bridge technologies and trading infrastructure.
- Demonstrated functional and conceptual understanding of technology and technical applications, with the ability to learn new business domains quickly.
- Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop high-performing teams, handle performance issues constructively, and maintain accountability.
- Creative problem-solving skills and a strong analytical mindset, with the ability to explore innovative approaches to achieve business outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Business-centric mindset with strong collaboration and negotiation skills to align operational objectives with broader business goals.
- Familiarity with the practices, procedures, and requirements of a modern online and highly regulated broker, along with a comprehensive understanding of the CFD industry.
- Flexibility to work across time zones to support global operations as required.
