Our client is one of the Top 4 Accounting and Auditing firms, looking to further develop their internal IT Department in both Nicosia and Limassol. They are looking to hire a Junior Software Developer who has the option to work under their hybrid model.
Position Overview:
You will be engaged in the company’s software design and development activities, working with other team members on delivering various products/services/projects. This includes developing code for our Products and Services and contributing to other software engineering tasks, such as In-Depth Analysis, Specifications, Design (Requirements, Functional & Technical Specifications) and Development of Innovative Technological and Business Solutions Collaboration with external teams (clients, partners, collaborators).
Skills you need to have:
- BSc. in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Informatics or similar
- Recently graduated within the last year with strong academic standing or less than 2 years of applicable professional experience
- Good programming skills with a mindset of solving hard problems efficiently with creativity
- Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns
- Experience in at least one of the following programming languages such as Python, Java, NodeJS, C or C++.
- Eager to learn, team player and attentive to details
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, follow deadlines, liaise with third-parties and stay organized.
- Excellent use of English and Greek language in verbal and written form
Additional skills considered a plus:
- Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML and CSS
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with Linux, Git, Bash
- Understanding of RESTful web services and interacting with APIs
- Django REST framework experience
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g. Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, Elasticsearch)
- Contribution in open-source projects
