Our client is a group of companies involved in the Shipping Industry, and they are currently recruitment for a IT Support Officer to join the team based at their Limassol based offices (fully on-site)

Job Description:

  • IT Officer is responsible for managing and supporting our organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth operation of computer systems, networks, and software applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support: Provide first-line support for IT related issues, troubleshooting hardware and software problems, and assisting users with technical difficulties. 
  • System Management: Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and networks ensuring all systems are operational and secure.
  • Network Administration: Monitor and manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls, to maintain connectivity and security.
  • Data Security: Implement and enforce IT security policies, including data backup, antivirus protection, and access controls to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Project Management: Plan and execute IT projects, such as system upgrades and migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures for knowledge sharing and training purposes. 

 
Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field is typically required. Minimum three (3) years’ experience in similar position. Oracle systems knowledge and experience will be considered as an advantage. Relevant certifications may also be beneficial. 
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of computer systems, networking, and software applications, with experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving. 
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Greek to effectively assist users and collaborate with team members. 
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions. 
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborating with other departments to meet IT needs. 

Working Hours:

  • Mon – Wed 8.30 – 5.30 (with 1 hr lunch break)
  • Thursday 8.30 – 5 .00
  • Friday 8.30 – 4.30. 
  • No overtime OR weekends required

Salary and Benefits:

  • 30,000 to 35,000 Euros gross annually based on experience 
  • 13th & 14th Salary 
  • Provident fund
