Our client, a cruise line for Spanish-speaking markets, is looking for an experienced and hands-on IT Manager with experience in the cruise line industry. In this role you will take ownership of the entire IT ecosystem of the cruise line, covering both onboard and shoreside environments. Working in a fully outsourced setup, you will manage partners, ensure system connectivity, and build a robust, scalable IT foundation for the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage the full IT architecture across ship and shore
  • Ensure seamless integration between key systems through APIs
  • Oversee platforms including reservation systems, POS, payments, finance, BI, and guest applications
  • Manage all IT vendors and technology partners
  • Ensure reliable IT operations onboard and in offices
  • Define and implement IT security policies and GDPR compliance
  • Act as the link between business needs and technical solutions

Requirements:

  • Experience in IT within cruise, maritime, or hospitality environments
  • Strong understanding of shipboard IT systems and operations
  • Hands-on mindset combined with strategic overview
  • Experience managing external vendors in outsourced environments
  • Strong knowledge of system integrations and connectivity (APIs)
  • Understanding of hardware and onboard infrastructure
  • Familiarity with CRS, POS, payment, and finance systems
  • Experience with data protection and IT security standards
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure (hardware & software)
  • Experience with GDPR and IT security frameworks
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Fluent in English (Spanish/Portuguese is a strong advantage)
  • Willingness and ability to travel (25% of the time) to Spain, the Netherlands and Brazil
  • Hands on, flexible, stress resistant, needs to like to work for a start-up with no hard established structure
  • EU-citizenship 

Work Hours: 

The office hours are 09:00 - 17:30, but weekend work (for emergencies and traveling can occur. Hybrid working (1-2 days from home) is possible
