Our client, a CySEC licensed global brokerage company, is looking for a dynamic individual for the position of IT Administrator to join the team in Limassol. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and a desire to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring timely resolution of IT-related problems.
- Network Administration: Assist in the Administration and maintenance of our network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- System Administration: Assist in the Administration of servers and cloud-based services, including configuration, monitoring, and performance tuning. This includes managing AWS instances and services.
- Backup and Recovery: Manage NAS backups to ensure the integrity and availability of critical data. Implement and maintain backup and recovery solutions to protect against data loss
- Security Management: Assist in implementing and maintaining security measures to protect our systems and data from cyber threats, including antivirus software, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Software Deployment: Assist in deploying and maintaining business-critical software applications, including updates, patches, and license management
- Access Troubleshooting: Provide and troubleshoot access to a wide range of applications and systems, including Active Directory groups, Database objects, and Mailbox objects
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in our IT infrastructure and processes, and assist in implementing solutions to enhance reliability, performance, and security
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a similar role or internship experience in IT support/ administration
- Strong technical skills in networking, system Administration, and security
- Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux), virtualization technologies, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and IAM
- Experience in managing NAS backup solutions
- Experience providing and troubleshooting access to various applications and systems, including Active Directory, databases, and email systems
- Experience/understanding of the financial services industry and/or online trading (Forex, CFDs, Spread Betting, MT4 platform, MQL language) is desired but not essential
- Highly organized and efficient, very strong attention to details, approaching both routine tasks and long-term projects with a high degree of care and professionalism
- Goal driven, self-motivated achiever. You are expected to complete tasks quickly and be proactive in identifying and resolving issues
- A high degree of discretion and professionalism given the role involves handling sensitive and/or confidential information
- Able to manage a demanding workload with multiple priorities and to solve issues through to completion coupled with ability to remain calm under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The confidence to build and develop good relationships with colleagues, suppliers and clients • Excellent command of English is essential (both written and spoken)
- Dynamic and effective team player with strong work ethics
- Work permit / EU-citizenship
Working hours:
- The working hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00-18:00 with one hour break (onsite job)
