Our client is a well-established River Cruise Catering Management Company in Limassol and they are looking for a proactive HR Team Leader. In this role you will be managing around 3 people and you will be reporting to the Director.
Responsibilities:
- HR Management:
- Lead, coordinate and motivate the HR Department to achieve the TEAMs goals
- Develop, implement and improve HR policies and procedures in alignment with regulations and company standards
- Improve the organizational structure that supports the company’s goals and expansion plans.
- Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
- Improve the recruitment strategy to attract talent
- Oversee the hiring process, from job posting to interviewing and onboarding new employees.
- Work with Operations department to identify staffing needs on board our ships and find the right person for each position on board.
- Employee Relations & Culture Development:
- Foster a positive work environment by promoting a company culture that aligns with the company’s values.
- Address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and ensure fair and compliant HR practices across all ships.
- Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and professional development.
- Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with European labor laws and regulations.
- Manage HR-related risks, including contracts, employee documentation, and legal compliance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for European labor authorities and employment law matters.
- Performance Management & Employee Development:
- Develop and implement performance management systems.
- Lead initiatives for employee training and development.
- Partner with leadership on succession planning and career development programs.
- Compensation & Benefits:
- Design competitive compensation packages in line with market standards.
- Manage payroll, employee benefits, and incentive programs.
- Ensure transparency and compliance in compensation matters.
- Leadership & Strategic Partnering:
- Work closely with the senior management to align HR strategies with the company’s overall business objectives.
- Provide guidance and coaching to the organization on HR matters
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree or HR certification (CIPD, SHRM, etc.) is an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an HR role.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an HR Manager.
- Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, and HR compliance.
- Strong understanding of European labour laws and employment practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong leadership, team coordination, and people motivation abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Proficiency in HR software and systems.
- Fluency in English is required; Greek, German, or Dutch is considered an advantage.
Working Hours:
- Working hours: Monday – Friday from 9am – 5.30 pm daily with half an hour lunch break.
- Overtime will be required from time to time.
- This is an onsite role
