Our client, a CySEC regulated and licensed Fintech Start-up based in Limassol is looking for a Head of Risk Department to join their growing team in Limassol. As the Head of Risk you will be responsible for establishing, implementing and maintaining the firm’s risk management policies and ensuring full regulatory compliance with CySEC and EU frameworks.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and continuously refine the company’s risk management framework, policies, and risk appetite parameters.
- Monitor market, credit, operational, liquidity, and counterparty risks, ensuring robust capital adequacy assessment and reporting.
- Prepare and submit accurate periodic risk reports to CySEC and the Board of Directors.
- Conduct regular stress testing and scenario analysis to safeguard platform operations and client assets.
- Stay ahead of CySEC, ESMA, and EU regulatory updates, adapting internal procedures to mitigate emerging risks.
Requirements:
- Holder of the CySEC Advanced Certificate
- University degree in Finance, Economics, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Risk Management, or a related field.
- +1 years of risk management experience within a CySEC-regulated Investment Firm (CIF) will be considered as an advantage.
- Knowledge of MIFID II, IFR/IFD, capital adequacy metrics, and operational risk frameworks.
- Fluency in English and Greek; advanced analytical capabilities, integrity, and strong communication skills to report at the Board level.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Limassol.
