Our client owns a group of companies focusing on FX / CFDS / PSPS and they are currently branching out, this is for a new branch of the business who are a FX & Crypto Derivative Broker and they need a top level doer to run with it and get things moving. They are looking for their Head of New Market Expansion-Country Launcher to take on and build theior presence from Cyprus where you MUST be located.
This is a Remote position to be based in Cyprus.
The Role
- We are a leading FX & Crypto Derivative Broker looking for a Builder, not just a Manager.
- We are expanding our global footprint and need a relentless, autonomous individual to lead our entry into new international markets. This is not a role where you step into a well-oiled machine; this is a role where you build the machine.
- You will essentially act as the "Founder" for new territories. You will own the entire lifecycle of market entry: from reading complex regulations and analyzing local competitors to setting up payment rails, hiring the first support staff, and driving the first dollar of revenue.

What You Will Do
The Strategist (Research & Compliance)
- Regulatory Deep Dive: You will independently evaluate the regulatory landscape in candidate countries. You must be able to read, digest, and summarize complex legal frameworks for derivative products without relying on external counsel for every basic question.
- Competitive Intelligence: You will dissect local competitors, analyzing their payment methods, marketing funnels, and customer support nuances to identify the gap where we can dominate.
- Resource Efficiency: You will treat the company’s capital as your own. You will plan resources meticulously, ensuring we do not burn cash on bloated strategies.
The Operator (Building the Engine)
- Launch & Scale: You will establish our physical and digital presence in chosen countries. This includes setting up local payment gateways, overseeing product localization, and establishing marketing channels.
- Operational Leadership: You will recruit, build, and manage the initial operational teams (Marketing, Customer Support, Payments, Affiliate Managers).
- Flat Management: You will lead through influence and competence, not hierarchy. You will work alongside your team, not just above them.
The AI-Augmented Professional
- AI as a Force Multiplier: You must be highly proficient with AI tools (Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, etc.). We expect you to use AI to do the work of three people, whether it’s drafting legal summaries, translating content, analyzing data, or automating workflows.
Who You Are
- You have "Founder DNA": You take extreme ownership. If a payment gateway fails at 2 AM on a Saturday, you fix it. You don't wait for Monday.
- You are Meticulous: You sweat the details. A broken link, a bad translation, or a missed regulatory nuance drives you crazy.
- You are a "Full-Stack" Operator: You are comfortable discussing API integrations with developers, ROI with marketers, and compliance with lawyers.
- You are Articulate: You communicate complex ideas simply and effectively. You don't hide behind jargon.
- You are Creative & Scrappy: When blocked, you find a way around, under, or through the wall. You build things from scratch without waiting for a roadmap.
Requirements
- Proven "Builder" Experience: We are looking for a track record of building things from scratch. Whether you launched a startup, opened a new country office for a broker, or built a high-performing division—show us what you built.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in FX, Crypto, Derivatives, or iGaming is highly preferred. You need to understand high-risk/high-reward environments.
- Tech Savvy: Advanced proficiency with modern collaboration tools and Generative AI is non-negotiable.
- Language: Native/Fluent English is a must. Additional languages are a massive plus.
- Location: Must be based in (or willing to relocate to) Cyprus.
