Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to lead our engineering department with a specialized focus on photovoltaic (PV) and storage installations and support. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in engineering leadership, combined with a deep understanding of solar energy technology and PV system design, installation, and maintenance. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all engineering activities related to the design, construction, and operation of our renewable energy projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Managing the Engineering Department for the smooth operation for installation:
- Designing photovoltaic (PV) projects
- Planning installation date and generating timetables for each installation
- Making sure the products used are appropriate for each project
- Monitoring Electricians for the correct installation
- Assisting the electrician for any technical difficulties
2. Generating reports and proposals for clients:
- Making sure that the proposed system is the appropriate as per the regulations stipulated by EAC and CERA
- Sites visits if needed when the installation is difficult or needs evaluation.
3. Monitoring CERA applications:
- Making sure the documents needed by CERA are the correct ones
- Coordinating with the sales department to provide the Engineering department with the correct documentation
- Talking with EAC and CERA to provide us with new details and making sure the application is under process
4. Adjusting any details for new costumers
- Documents to be in the right folder
- SoftOne application is updated with the Engineering details
5. Working along with Sales team to provide the right timetable for sending the proposal and report to the client
6. Organisation of Engineering Department
Skills and qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, professional engineering license or a related technical field is typically required.
- Significant experience in technical engineering, including a track record of progressively increasing responsibility and leadership roles.
- Time-management skills and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines for resolution
- Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently
- Professional written and interpersonal skills are essential when communicating with customers and clients
- Strong problem solving and decision making abilities.
Salary:
- The salary will range between €36,000 to €40,000 per annum depending on qualifications and experience.
Working hours:
- Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm
