Our client, a CySEC regulated Forex Company based in Limassol, is looking to hire a motivated individual in the role of Head of Compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing, implementing and maintaining the compliance policies and procedures of the company to ensure compliance with CySEC regulations and other applicable laws and regulations
  • Conducting regular risk assessments to identify compliance risks and implementing appropriate measures to mitigate those risks
  • Conducting compliance training for employees and ensuring that they are aware of their obligations under the relevant regulations
  • Reviewing and approving marketing and advertising materials to ensure they comply with regulatory requirements
  • Maintaining records of all compliance-related activities and reporting to senior management and the Board of Directors as required
  • Monitoring the activities of the company to identify potential breaches of regulatory requirements and taking appropriate action to address any issues
  • Liaising with regulatory authorities and responding to any inquiries or requests for information in a timely and professional manner
  • Keeping up to date with changes to regulatory requirements and ensuring that the company's policies and procedures are updated accordingly
  • Conducting periodic reviews of the company's operations to ensure that they comply with regulatory requirements
  • Leading and managing the compliance team and providing guidance and support to team members
  • Working closely with other departments within the company, such as legal, risk management, and operations, to ensure a coordinated approach to compliance
  • Maintaining a culture of compliance throughout the organization and promoting ethical behavior and integrity among employees. 

Requirements:

  • A degree in Law or a related field is ideal
  • Holder of a CySEC Advanced Certification, with CySEC AML certification
  • At least 5 years of experience in CySEC investment firm in a similar position
  • Good understanding of the financial services industry and practices
  • Detailed knowledge of laws and regulations affecting business operations
  • Ability to interpret and advise on the application of various laws and regulations
  • Able to multitask, work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Able to work on own initiative, use independent judgment, prioritize workload and pay attention to details
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Greek, with knowledge of another language being considered an advantage
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
  • Organized, diligent, and able to pay attention to detail
  • Proactive, ability to show a willingness to learn and seek new opportunities for development.
