Our client, a Financial Services Company located in Limassol, is looking to hire a Head of Accounting to manage a team of 3 people.
Responsibilities:
- Managing portfolios of accounting clients
- Assisting in keeping timely and accurate accounting records for client companies and preparing them for audit
- Meeting deadlines for monthly closings and reconciliations, preliminary review and analysis of trial balance
- Assisting in the preparation and submission of VAT, VIES, OSS and INSTRASTAT returns
- Assisting in the preparation of payroll calculations and submitting all necessary returns
- Collaborating with external parties e.g. banks, tax authorities etc
Candidate profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or in any other related field
- Professional Accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA)
- At least 3 years’ experience in a relevant position (supervisory or managerial level) in an accounting/audit firm, law firm or corporate services provider
- Strong knowledge of VAT, Social Insurance and Tax aspects
- Good knowledge of Excel and Word
- Knowledge of the Intelisoft program is preferrable
- Excellent command of the English language both verbal and written. Russian would be highly advantageous
- Excellent planning, prioritisation, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Self-motivated and willing to learn and develop in a fast paced and growing organisation
Working hours:
The working hours Monday to Thursday 9.00am – 6.00pm and on Friday 9.00am – 2.00pm
