Our client is a Group of Companies with entities within the Payment, EMI and Crypto sectors and they are actively looking to recruit an experienced and exceptional Group CFO who will be responsible for leading the financial function across the organization during a period of growth, scale, and regulatory maturity.
This is a senior leadership role with a direct reporting line to the UBO, offering strategic depth, and daily hands-on execution.
About the Role:
- The Group CFO will oversee all financial operations of the Group, while partnering closely with business leaders to ensure long-term growth, stability, and compliance.
- This role requires more than financial expertise - it demands strong business sense, commercial sharpness, and operational execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy & Business Partnership
- Own the Group’s financial roadmap, planning, and forecasting across all business lines
- Partner with the UBO and executive team to align financial performance with strategic goals
- Evaluate commercial opportunities, product decisions, and market initiatives from a financial lens
Accounting & Financial Control
- Lead and continuously improve the accounting function, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance
- Oversee the preparation of management accounts, consolidated group financials, and statutory filings
- Manage external audits and maintain strong internal controls across all jurisdictions
Treasury & Cash Management
- Oversee the Head of Treasury and ensure robust cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and capital allocation
- Maintain control over bank relationships, safeguarding, and regulatory capital requirements
- Actively manage working capital and optimize the treasury structure for efficiency and resilience
Regulatory & Risk Oversight
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory financial obligations (e.g., EMI, PI, crypto trading frameworks)
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and external advisors as needed, including during licensing or expansion processes
- Monitor and mitigate financial risks, including FX, operational, and market exposure
Leadership & Operational Execution
- Build, mentor, and scale high-performing teams
- Improve finance systems, tools, and reporting frameworks to support decision-making and business agility
- Drive operational efficiency while ensuring the finance function remains lean, precise, and forward-thinking
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven CFO or senior finance leadership experience in regulated financial services (e.g. EMI, payments, crypto, PSPs)
- Strong understanding of financial frameworks in multi-entity, multi-jurisdictional structures
- Commercial instinct - able to quickly assess the business impact behind the numbers
- Strong work ethic, and an instinct for hands-on problem-solving
- Experience working directly with founders/UBOs or in entrepreneurial environments is highly valued
