Our Client is an International Family office Group of companies and they are looking for an Fund Accountant to be located full time onsite at their offices in Limassol.
They are a number of companies with over 20 people based in Cyprus, London and Stockholm.
Position Overview:
- We are seeking a detail-oriented Fund Accountant to join our family office team.
- This role will be responsible for the accurate accounting, valuation, and reporting of our investment funds and portfolio holdings.
- The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, experience with alternative investments, and the ability to work in a dynamic, high-touch environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records for investment portfolios, including private equity, hedge funds, real estate, and direct investments
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and performance reports for internal and external parties when requested
- Reconcile cash and investment positions across multiple custodians, independent fund managers and banks
- Process capital calls and distributions (subscriptions and redemptions)
- Calculate NAV and investment performance metrics
- Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Maintain the general ledger and supporting schedules for all investment entities
- Assist with tax reporting requirements when required
- Monitor and track management fees, carried interest, and other fund expenses
- Implement and maintain internal controls over financial reporting processes
- Support ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3-5 years of fund accounting experience, preferably in private equity, hedge funds, or family office environments
- Strong understanding of partnership accounting and ASC 820 fair value measurements
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Effective communication skills for interacting with family members, advisors, and service providers
- Native or fluent English proficiency is required.
- CFA or progress toward CFA certification is preferred
Nice to have:
- Experience with investment performance and portfolio management platforms such as Addepar, Masttro, Black Diamond,eFront, or similar systems is highly preferred
- Familiarity with cloud-based accounting platforms such as Sage Intacct or similar ERP systems is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to leverage technology platforms for data aggregation, performance reporting, and portfolio analytics is a plus
- Russian and/or German language skills are a plus but not required.
- Willingness to undertake occasional international travel.
Compensation & Benefits:
- 60-80k Gross per Annum
- 13th salary included.
