Our client, a Global Online Beauty Company, is opening an office in Nicosia, and they are looking for a Corporate Governance Lawyer to join their team.
Responsibilities:
Contract Management:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to ensure the company’s interests are protected
- Handle intercompany loan agreements and syndicate loan agreements
- Participate in purchase or distribution agreements
Corporate Governance:
- Participate in the legal aspects of Group restructuring projects
- Manage the maintenance of companies, including the establishment of new entities
- Oversee processes related to the Registrar of Companies
Corporate Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain board and shareholder resolutions
- Manage other corporate governance documents as part of daily responsibilities
KYC/AML Compliance:
- Advise on and ensure compliance with legal aspects of Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations
Litigation Management:
- Coordinate and manage litigation processes, including liaising with external counsel when necessary
- Handle both court and out-of-court dispute resolution
Regulatory Correspondence:
- Communicate with authorities, including financial regulators and courts
Legal Monitoring:
- Monitor legal developments in selected countries
- Summarize legal analysis by external counsels and ensure the information meets the company’s needs
- Perform other duties as needed to support the legal and compliance functions of the company
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in law
- 3-5 years of previous experience as a corporate lawyer
- Strong understanding of Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations
- Current licence to practise law
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing Fluency in Greek and English
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Working hours:
- Monday – Friday, 38 hours per week
Benefits:
- The client is offering a salary of up to 30k euros gross annually based on qualifications, experience and skills.
