Our client, a Global Online Beauty Company, is opening an office in Nicosia, and they are looking for a Corporate Governance Lawyer to join their team.

Responsibilities: 

Contract Management:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to ensure the company’s interests are protected
  • Handle intercompany loan agreements and syndicate loan agreements
  • Participate in purchase or distribution agreements

Corporate Governance:

  • Participate in the legal aspects of Group restructuring projects
  • Manage the maintenance of companies, including the establishment of new entities
  • Oversee processes related to the Registrar of Companies

Corporate Documentation:

  • Prepare and maintain board and shareholder resolutions
  • Manage other corporate governance documents as part of daily responsibilities

KYC/AML Compliance:

  • Advise on and ensure compliance with legal aspects of Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations

Litigation Management:

  • Coordinate and manage litigation processes, including liaising with external counsel when necessary
  • Handle both court and out-of-court dispute resolution

Regulatory Correspondence:

  • Communicate with authorities, including financial regulators and courts

Legal Monitoring:

  • Monitor legal developments in selected countries
  • Summarize legal analysis by external counsels and ensure the information meets the company’s needs
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the legal and compliance functions of the company

Requirements: 

  • A bachelor’s degree in law
  • 3-5 years of previous experience as a corporate lawyer
  • Strong understanding of Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations
  • Current licence to practise law
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing Fluency in Greek and English
  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills

Working hours: 

  • Monday – Friday, 38 hours per week
